Kotek ("we") is the data controller for personal data collected via kotek.online. This policy explains what we collect and why, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data We Collect
- Contact data: name, email, phone.
- Case data: identity documents, employment history, family status — only where necessary to perform your engagement.
- Payment data: processed by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited.
2. Legal Bases
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — to deliver our services.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — accounting and tax retention.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — securing our website and preventing fraud.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for marketing communications you opt into.
3. Sharing
We share data only with vetted processors (hosting, secure storage, payment provider) and with public authorities where required by law or by your instructions.
4. Retention
Case files are retained for up to 5 years after engagement closure for legal and accounting purposes, after which they are securely deleted.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to processing. Contact help@kotek.online to exercise these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
6. International Transfers
Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on European Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
